HERE'S SOME TIPS TO HELP YOU SET EXPECTATIONS FOR YOUR SUMMER TRAVEL
This summer's breaking records for the travel industry.
Despite higher costs, we've all prioritized taking vacations and creating treasured memories that've been put on hold for way too long. Don't know about you, but two years feels like forever.
Here's 5 tips to help you set expectations for your summer travel ...
BE READY FOR THE CROWDS
As the world recovers from the pandemic, there's a surge in travel demand like never before.
Be prepared - expect crowded airports and cities. Don't let this ruin your vacation.
Be patient - accept everyone else also wants to be there, just like you!
ARRIVE EARLY AT THE AIRPORTS
Nothing's worse than running through the airport hoping the gate is still open. This year we expect all flights to be full. Then there's the issue of whether your bag will make it on the plane with you, on the same flight!
Airports and airlines are still understaffed, so expect delays. Arrive no later than 3 hours prior to your international flight. Zoom through check-in and security - then grab a drink or snack and relax till it's time to board your flight. You'll feel a whole lot better knowing you're THERE. Step one accomplished.

MAKE SURE TO HAVE NEXUS / GLOBAL ENTRY AND TSA PRE-CHECK
Global entry is a program allowing pre-approved, low risk travellers to received expedited clearance upon arrival into the US.
NEXUS provides expedited entry into Canada via air, land, and sea, while also offering full TSA Pre-Check and Global Entry benefits.
PRE-BOOK YOUR ACTIVITIES
We expect hotels and attractions to sell out! Don't wait till you arrive at your destination to buy tickets to enter a main attraction or to book your dinner reservations (especially if there's a special restaurant on your list).
This year, more than ever, our skip the line tours with a private guide will be key when visiting sites such as the Louvre or the Colosseum. Otherwise, expect to stand in very long lines in the heat of the Summer.
Same goes true for shore excursions with your cruise - pre-book to secure a spot or you're going to be wondering around some port not knowing which way to turn.

INSURANCE INSURANCE INSURANCE
We all know that travel now, is not what it used to be and never will be again. The chance of something going sideways is even greater than it ever was - if it can happen - it probably will.
To protect your trip, your sanity and your wallet - the right insurance is the only way to go. It must become a part of your travel budget, it's no longer an "add-on" - it's an essential.
So here's the skinny (aka bottom line): Expect Crowds and Delays. Plan the right way, plan ahead, be patient and you'll have the most amazing vacation.
Travel should be fun - not a blur.
If I've done my job right, you'll travel safely and remember the memories, not the hiccups (cause there'll be those).
